Healthy Food Guide.

Ideally a body needs quality fuel to nourish and sustain it. Approximately 50% carbohydrates, 15% protein, 30% fat with plenty of vitamins, fibre, minerals and water.

A healthy diet is one that is high in fruit, vegetables, grain and pulses and low in animal and dairy products.

Good Foods

Not so Good Foods

fresh fruit

refined flour

fresh vegetables sugar, sweets, soda & deserts
whole grains, wholegrain bread fried foods
lean meats or fish full fat dairy foods
raw, steamed and baked foods caffeine and alcohol
fruit spreads - no added sugar fatty meats
skimmed milk and low fat cheeses crisps and other snacks
